About The Author

Mark Feldman was chosen by Neil Peart as one of the winners of Modern Drummer Magazine's very first drum solo contest.

Growing up in New York City, Mark started playing drums at 13 and began playing professionally while still in high school. Mark has been an endorser of Vic Firth sticks since 1990. 

Mark takes drum education seriously--both as a teacher and as a student. As proof, note that Mark has studied privately with acclaimed drummers and teachers like John Riley, Shawn Pelton, Dave DiCenso, and of course, his beloved first drum teacher, Charlie Davidman.
